Run credit checks on the people you do business with.
CRS is a licensed credit reporting agency. Pull consumer credit reports and scores from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion through one account.
Every credit pull requires a permissible purpose under federal law. Our compliance team confirms yours during onboarding and matches it to the products you are allowed to use.
Soft reports, hard reports, and the data around them.
Availability varies by product and permissible purpose.
Soft credit reports
Prequalification reports that do not affect the consumer’s credit score. Assess someone before they formally apply, without penalizing them for being considered.
Hard credit reports
A detailed view of a consumer’s credit history for final lending decisions and approvals.
Credit scores
FICO and VantageScore options. Our team helps you pick the model that fits the decision you are making.
Add-ons
OFAC, MLA, Income, Bankruptcy, Trended Data, and TEC score, for deeper context on a file.
Three ways to pull a report.
Most customers on this page start with the portal and add automation later.
Why CRS
One provider instead of a stack of them.
You can contract each bureau directly, or use a provider built around one narrow use case. Here is how those compare.
Customer story
Pull the data, push it into your systems.
We were going through our build about two years ago and realized we needed more reliable access to credit data. After being referred to CRS we chose to go the API route and it’s been fantastic, pulling the data we need and importing to our systems.

The question everyone asks first
Can you legally run a credit check on someone else?
Experian sells commercial data under a number of product and platform names. Here is what each one refers to.
Only with a permissible purpose. Federal law limits who can access a consumer credit report and why. Screening a tenant, underwriting a loan, and reviewing an existing account are common examples.
You do not have to work this out alone. CRS is the licensed credit reporting agency in the relationship. Our compliance team walks through your use case during onboarding. They confirm the permissible purpose that applies, and enable only the products that match it.
If your use case does not qualify, we will tell you before you sign anything.

FAQ
Why would we buy through CRS instead of Experian?
One integration covers Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, plus consumer credit, identity, and public records data.
Do we need to be a credit reporting agency ourselves?
No. CRS is the licensed CRA. Our compliance team guides you through bureau vetting and credentialing.
Do we need developers to pull reports?
No. Reports can be ordered through a secure web portal. An API is available when you are ready to automate.
How long before we can pull our first report?
Most customers go live in roughly two weeks. Bureau vetting is usually the longest step, and we manage it.
What does vetting require?
Requirements vary by product and use case. Our [vetting documents page](https://crscreditapi.com/vetting-documents/) lists what to prepare.
Can we review the owner's credit as well?
Yes. The Business Principal Report focuses on the credit history of the individual who controls the business.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the products you need and your expected volume. Tell us both and we will give you real numbers.
Is there a minimum volume?
CRS is built for businesses pulling credit consistently. If your volume is very low, we will tell you honestly.
