Housing & Credit Counseling Report

Designed for HUD-approved housing- and credit-counseling agencies, the HCC report is a soft-inquiry, tri-bureau (or Equifax-only) credit file that counsellors can review with the consumer, print, and leave behind without harming the client’s FICO®/Beacon® score or triggering lender “pre-screen” marketing. Pulled in seconds through a secure web console, SFTP batch or MISMO/XML API, the file contains the full File One® trade-line section, public-record alerts, inquiries, plus an educational Beacon 9.0 score and three reason codes. Because it’s coded with the “housing-counseling” permissible purpose, the report complies with CFPB and HUD rules that let nonprofit counsellors share the file with consumers.
