Military Lending Act
The Military Lending Act (MLA) is a U.S. federal law that provides special protections to active-duty service members and their covered dependents when they apply for certain types of consumer credit. It was enacted in 2006 and expanded in 2015 to include more credit products and stronger enforcement rules.
